قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ‏:‏ فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرًا يَقُولُ‏:‏ الْمَاشِيَانِ إِذَا اجْتَمَعَا فَأَيُّهُمَا بَدَأَ بِالسَّلاَمِ فَهُوَ أَفْضَلُ‏.‏
