Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:9869 حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ أنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أنا الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي قَيْسٍ عَنْ هُزَيْلِ بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَضَى فِي رَجُلٍ تَرَكَ ابْنَتَهُ وَابْنَةَ ابْنِهِ وَأُخْتَهُ فَجَعَلَ لِلْبِنْتِ النِّصْفَ وَلِابْنَةِ الِابْنِ السُّدُسَ وَمَا بَقِيَ فَلِلْأُخْتِ

Abdullah ibn Mas'ud reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) ruled regarding a man who left behind his daughter, his son's daughter, and his sister: he gave the daughter half, the son's daughter one-sixth, and the remainder to the sister.
