Ishaq ibn Ibrahim al-Dabari narrated from Abd al-Razzaq, from Ma'mar, from Ishaq ibn Rashid, from Amr ibn Wabisah al-Asadi, from his father who said: I was in Kufa in my house when I heard at the door: 'Peace be upon you, may I enter?' I said: 'And upon you be peace, enter.' When he entered, it was Abdullah ibn Mas'ud. I said: 'O Abu Abd al-Rahman, what time is this for a visit?' - as it was near midday. He said: 'The day grew long for me, and I thought of someone to converse with.' He began telling me about the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and I told him. Then he began narrating and said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: 'There will be a tribulation in which the sleeper is better than the one lying down, and the one lying down is better than the one sitting, and the one sitting is better than the one standing, and the one standing is better than the one walking, and the one walking is better than the one riding, and the one riding is better than the one galloping. All of its casualties are in the Fire.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, when will that be?' He said: 'In the days of al-harj (killing).' I said: 'When are the days of al-harj?' He said: 'When a man cannot trust his companion.' I said: 'What do you command me to do if I live to see that time?' He said: 'Restrain yourself and your hands, and enter your house.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what if someone enters my house?' He said: 'Then enter your room.' I said: 'What if he enters my room?' He said: 'Then enter your place of prayer, and do this' - and he grasped his right hand on his wrist - 'and say: My Lord is Allah, until you die in that state.'
