Muhammad ibn Abdus ibn Kamil narrated to us, from Ali ibn al-Ja'd, from Shu'bah, from Ash'ath ibn Sawwar, from al-Sha'bi, from Masruq, from Abdullah who said: 'Divorce is according to the men (i.e., the number of divorces a man can give), and the waiting period is according to the women (i.e., their menstrual status).'
