A man came to Abu Musa and said that his wife's breast was swollen, so he sucked and spat it out, but some entered his stomach. Abu Musa said: "I do not think she is lawful for him anymore." The man went to Ibn Mas'ud and asked him about it. He said: "She is not forbidden to you. Breastfeeding that creates prohibition is only that which nourishes flesh and strengthens bone, and there is no breastfeeding (prohibition) after weaning." When Abu Musa was told, he said: "Do not ask us about anything as long as this scholar from among the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) is among us."
