Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:8479 حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ثنا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ أَنَّهُ أُتِيَ فِي فَرِيضَةِ ابْنَيْ عَمٍّ أَحَدُهُمَا أَخٌ لِأُمٍّ فَقَالُوا أَعْطَاهُ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ الْمَالَ كُلَّهُ فَقَالَ «يَرْحَمُ اللهُ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ إِنْ كَانَ لَفَقِيهًا لَكِنِّي أُعْطِيهِ سَهْمَ الْأَخِ مِنَ الْأُمِّ مِنْ قِبَلِ أُمِّهِ ثُمَّ أَقْسِمُ الْمَالَ بَيْنَهُمَا»
انگریزی ترجمہ
'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked about an inheritance case involving two paternal cousins, one of whom was also a maternal half-brother. People said that Ibn Mas'ud had given all the wealth to the one who was also a maternal half-brother. 'Ali said: "May Allah have mercy on Ibn Mas'ud — he was indeed a jurist. But I give the maternal half-brother his share from his mother's side, then divide the wealth between them both."
