وعن أنس رضي الله عنه قال كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يفطر قبل أن يصلي على رطبات، فإن لم تكن رطبات فتميرات فإن لم تكن تميرات حسا حسوات من ماء. ((رواه أبو داود والترمذي وقال: حديث حسن)).

Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to break his Saum (fasting) before performing Maghrib prayer with three fresh date-fruits; if there were no fresh date- fruits, he will eat three dry dates; and if there were no dry date- fruits; he would take three draughts of water..
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم مغرب کی نماز سے پہلے تازہ کھجوروں سے افطار فرماتے، اگر تازہ کھجوریں نہ ہوتیں تو خشک کھجوروں سے، اگر خشک بھی نہ ہوتیں تو پانی کے چند گھونٹ پی لیتے۔
