It is narrated from Ummul Mu'minin Hadrat Aisha Siddiqah (may Allah be well pleased with her) who said: "The wives of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) gathered and sent Hadrat Fatimah (may Allah be well pleased with her) to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and said to her: 'Your wives implore you for fairness regarding the daughter of Abu Quhafah.' She entered upon the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) while he was with Hadrat Aisha (may Allah be well pleased with her) in her garment and said: 'Your wives have sent me; they implore you for fairness regarding the daughter of Abu Quhafah.' The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said to her: 'Do you love me?' She said: 'Yes.' He stated: 'Then love her.' She returned and informed them of what he said. They told her: 'You have done nothing, go back to him.' She said: 'By Allah, I will never go back to him regarding her.' And she was truly the daughter of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). Then they sent Ummul Mu'minin Hadrat Zainab bint Jahsh (may Allah be well pleased with her). Hadrat Aisha (may Allah be well pleased with her) said: 'She was the one who used to rival me among the wives of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).' She said: 'Your wives have sent me; they implore you for fairness regarding the daughter of Abu Quhafah.' Then she turned on me and insulted me. I kept watching the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and his expression to see if he would permit me to respond. She continued insulting me until I was certain he would not mind if I defended myself. I confronted her and quickly silenced her. The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said to her: 'She is indeed the daughter of Hadrat Abu Bakr.' Hadrat Aisha (may Allah be well pleased with her) said: 'I never saw a woman better, more charitable, more maintaining of family ties, or more sacrificing of herself in everything that brings one close to Allah, the Most High, than Hadrat Zainab (may Allah be well pleased with her), except for a quick temper which she would soon overcome.' Abu Abdur-Rahman said: 'This is an error; the correct narration is the one before it.'"

ہمیں محمد بن رافع نیشاپوری ثقہ مامون نے خبر دی، انہوں نے کہا ہمیں عبدالرزاق نے معمر سے، انہوں نے زہری سے، انہوں نے عروہ سے، انہوں نے حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت کیا، انہوں نے فرمایا: نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی ازواج مطہرات جمع ہوئیں اور انہوں نے حضرت فاطمہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا کو نبی صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس بھیجا اور ان سے کہا: آپ کی بیویاں ابوقحافہ کی بیٹی کے معاملے میں انصاف چاہتی ہیں۔ حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے فرمایا: وہ نبی صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس داخل ہوئیں اور آپ حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ کے ساتھ ان کی چادر میں تھے۔ انہوں نے عرض کیا: آپ کی بیویوں نے مجھے بھیجا ہے وہ ابوقحافہ کی بیٹی کے معاملے میں انصاف چاہتی ہیں۔ نبی صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: کیا تم مجھ سے محبت کرتی ہو؟ انہوں نے عرض کیا: جی ہاں۔ فرمایا: تو ان سے محبت کرو۔ وہ واپس گئیں اور ازواج کو بتایا تو انہوں نے کہا: تم نے کچھ نہیں کیا واپس جاؤ۔ انہوں نے فرمایا: اللہ کی قسم! میں اس معاملے میں کبھی واپس نہیں جاؤں گی، اور وہ سچ مچ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی بیٹی تھیں۔ پھر ازواج نے حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین زینب بنت جحش رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا کو بھیجا۔ حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے فرمایا: وہ نبی صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی ازواج میں سے مرتبے میں میرا مقابلہ کرتی تھیں۔ انہوں نے عرض کیا: آپ کی ازواج نے مجھے بھیجا ہے وہ ابوقحافہ کی بیٹی کے معاملے میں انصاف چاہتی ہیں۔ پھر مجھے گالیاں دینے لگیں تو میں نبی صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی طرف دیکھ رہی تھی کہ آیا مجھے جواب دینے کی اجازت ہے۔ وہ مجھے گالیاں دیتی رہیں یہاں تک کہ مجھے یقین ہو گیا کہ آپ مجھے جواب دینے سے منع نہیں فرمائیں گے۔ میں نے ان کا سامنا کیا اور تھوڑی دیر میں انہیں لاجواب کر دیا۔ نبی صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: یہ حضرت ابوبکر کی بیٹی ہے۔ حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے فرمایا: میں نے حضرت زینب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے بہتر، زیادہ صدقہ دینے والی، زیادہ صلہ رحمی کرنے والی اور اللہ تعالیٰ کے تقرب کے ہر کام میں خود کو جھونک دینے والی عورت نہیں دیکھی، سوائے ایک تیزی کی جو ان میں تھی جس سے وہ جلد لوٹ آتی تھیں۔ ابو عبدالرحمٰن نے فرمایا: یہ غلط ہے اور صحیح اس سے پہلے والی روایت ہے۔
