Narrated Umm al-Mu'minin A'ishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her): Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) and Abd ibn Zam'ah (may Allah be pleased with him) both disputed over a boy. Sa'd said: O Messenger of Allah! This boy is my brother's child — my brother's name was Utbah ibn Abi Waqqas — and he told me that this was his son, so observe the resemblance in him (peace be upon him). And Abd ibn Zam'ah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! This boy is my brother, born on my father's bed from his slave-girl. So the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) looked at him and saw that he bore a clear resemblance to Utbah, and said: "O Abd! The boy belongs to the one on whose bed he was born, and for the adulterer is deprivation and loss — or the stone. And O Sawdah (may Allah be pleased with her), daughter of Zam'ah! Observe the veil (hijab) from him." So Umm al-Mu'minin Sawdah (may Allah be pleased with her) never saw him thereafter. [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 872]
اردو ترجمہ
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہانہوں نے کہا کہ سیدنا سعد بن ابی وقاص رضی اللہ عنہ اور عبد بن زمعہ رضی اللہ عنہ دونوں نے ایک لڑکے کے بارے میں جھگڑا کیا سیدنا سعد نے عرض کیا کہ یا رسول اللہ! یہ لڑکا میرے بھائی کا بچہ ہے کہ میرے بھائی کا نام عتبہ بن ابی وقاص ہے اور انہوں نے مجھ سے کہہ رکھا تھا کہ یہ میرا فرزند ہے اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلماس میں شباہت ملاحظہ فرما لیں اور عبد بن زمعہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! یہ لڑکا میرا بھائی ہے میرے باپ کے فراش پر اس کی لونڈی کے پیٹ سے پیدا ہوا ہے پس رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اسے دیکھا کہ وہ عتبہ کے ساتھ بخوبی مشابہت رکھتا ہے اور فرمایا کہ اے عبد! لڑکا اسی کا ہے جس کے فراش پر پیدا ہوا اور زانی کو بے نصیبی اور محرومی ہے یا پتھر۔ اور اے سودہ (رضی اللہ عنہا) زمعہ کی بیٹی! تم اس سے پردہ کرو پھر ام المؤمنین سودہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے اس کو کبھی نہیں دیکھا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 872]
