انگریزی ترجمہ
Narrated Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Allah, the Exalted, says: "Every deed of the son of Adam is for him, except fasting, for it is for Me alone, and I shall reward it. Fasting is a shield (against sins). So when it is a day of fasting for one of you, let him not utter obscenities that day nor raise his voice; and if anyone abuses him or seeks to fight him, let him say: I am fasting. By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad (peace be upon him), the odour of the mouth of the fasting person is more pleasing to Allah, the Exalted, on the Day of Resurrection than the fragrance of musk. The fasting person has two joys with which he rejoices: one, he rejoices at his breaking of the fast; and the other, he will rejoice at the time when he meets his Lord by reason of his fast."
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے کہ”بنی آدم کا ہر عمل اس کے لئے ہے سوائے روزے کے، کہ وہ خاص میرے لئے ہے اور میں ہی اس کا بدلہ دوں گا۔ اور روزہ (گناہوں سے) سپر (ڈھال) ہے۔ پھر جب کسی کا روزہ ہو تو اس دن گالیاں نہ بکے اور آواز بلند نہ کرے پھر اگر کوئی اسے گالی دے یا لڑنے کو آئے تو کہہ دے کہ میں روزے سے ہوں اور قسم ہے اس ذات کی جس کے ہاتھ میں محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) کی جان ہے کہ بیشک روزہ دار کے منہ کی بو اللہ تعالیٰ کے نزدیک قیامت کے دن مشک کی خوشبو سے زیادہ پسندیدہ ہے اور روزہ دار کو دو خوشیاں ملتی ہیں جن سے وہ خوش ہوتا ہے۔ ایک تو وہ اپنے افطار سے خوش ہوتا ہے اور دوسرا وہ اس وقت خوش ہو گا جب وہ اپنے روزے کے سبب اپنے پروردگار سے ملے گا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 571]
