انگریزی ترجمہ
Narrated Abu Masud (may Allah be pleased with him): For the prayer, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) would pass his hand over our shoulders and say, "Stand in an even line and do not go forward or backward, otherwise discord will fall into your hearts. And let those who are most understanding and intelligent stand nearest to me, then those who are next to them." After that, Abu Masud (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Today great differences have arisen among you people."
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا ابومسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہنماز کے لئے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمہمارے کندھوں پر ہاتھ پھیرتے اور فرماتے کہ برابر کھڑے رہو اور آگے پیچھے نہ ہٹو وگرنہ تمہارے دلوں میں پھوٹ پڑ جائے گی نیز میرے قریب وہ کھڑے ہوں جو کہ بہت سمجھدار اور عقلمند ہیں اور پھر جو ان سے قریب ہوں۔ اس کے بعد سیدنا ابومسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ آج تم لوگوں میں بےانتہا اختلافات رونما ہو گئے ہیں۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 267]
