Iyas bin Salamah narrated from his father (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: We set out with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) for a battle, and there (of food and drink) we suffered hardship (that is, a shortage occurred), until we resolved to slaughter our riding camels. Then, by the command of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), we gathered our provisions and spread out a leather sheet, upon which all the people's provisions were collected together. Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I stretched myself out to measure it, and found it to be about as much space as a goat sits in, and we were fourteen hundred men (in the army). Then we all ate our fill, and afterward filled our provision bags. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Is there any water for ablution?" A man came with a little water in a bucket, and he (peace be upon him) poured it into a hollow, and all fourteen hundred of us performed ablution with that water, using it freely. After that, eight more men came and said, "Is there water for ablution?" The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The ablution water is finished." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1067]
اردو ترجمہ
ایاس بن سلمہ اپنے والد رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہانہوں نے کہا کہ ہم رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے ساتھ ایک لڑائی کے لئے نکلے، وہاں ہمیں (کھانے اور پینے کی) تکلیف ہوئی (یعنی کمی واقع ہو گئی) یہاں تک کہ ہم نے سواری کے اونٹوں کو نحر کرنے کا قصد کیا، تو رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے حکم پر ہم نے اپنے اپنے سفر خرچ کو جمع کیا اور ایک چمڑا بچھایا، اس پر سب لوگوں کے زادراہ اکٹھے ہوئے۔ سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ میں اس کے ناپنے کے لئے لمبا ہوا، تو اس کو اتنا پایا کہ جتنی جگہ میں بکری بیٹھتی ہے اور ہم (لشکر کے) چودہ سو آدمی تھے۔ پھر ہم لوگوں نے خوب پیٹ بھر کر کھایا اور اس کے بعد اپنے اپنے توشہ دان کو بھر لیا۔ تب رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ وضو کا پانی ہے؟ ایک شخص ڈول میں ذرا سا پانی لے کر آیا، تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اس کو ایک گڑھے میں ڈال دیا اور ہم سب چودہ سو آدمیوں نے اسی پانی سے وضو کیا، خوب بہاتے جاتے تھے۔ اس کے بعد آٹھ آدمی اور آئے اور انہوں نے کہا کہ وضو کا پانی ہے؟ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ وضو کا پانی گر چکا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1067]
