انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: A man was late at night in leaving the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), then he went to his house and saw that the children had fallen asleep. His wife brought food, and he swore that he would not eat on account of his children. Then it seemed proper to him to eat, and he ate. Later he came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and told him, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever swears an oath about something, then considers something else better than it, let him do it and make expiation for his oath." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1019]
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہایک شخص کو رات کے وقت رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس دیر ہو گئی، پھر وہ اپنے گھر گیا تو بچوں کو دیکھا کہ وہ سو گئے ہیں۔ اس کی عورت کھانا لائی تو اس نے قسم کھا لی کہ میں اپنے بچوں کی وجہ سے نہ کھاؤں گا پھر اس کو کھانا مناسب معلوم ہوا اور اس نے کھا لیا۔ بعد میں رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس آیا اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے بیان کیا، تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ جو شخص کسی بات کی قسم کھائے لیکن پھر دوسری بات اس سے بہتر سمجھے تو وہ کرے اور قسم کا کفارہ دیدے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1019]
