حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ كَانَ مُعَاذٌ يُصَلِّي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثُمَّ يَأْتِي فَيَؤُمُّ قَوْمَهُ فَصَلَّى لَيْلَةً مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْعِشَاءَ ثُمَّ أَتَى قَوْمَهُ فَأَمَّهُمْ فَافْتَتَحَ بِسُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فَانْحَرَفَ رَجُلٌ فَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى وَحْدَهُ وَانْصَرَفَ فَقَالُوا لَهُ أَنَافَقْتَ يَا فُلاَنُ قَالَ لاَ وَاللَّهِ وَلآتِيَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَلأُخْبِرَنَّهُ . فَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا أَصْحَابُ نَوَاضِحَ نَعْمَلُ بِالنَّهَارِ وَإِنَّ مُعَاذًا صَلَّى مَعَكَ الْعِشَاءَ ثُمَّ أَتَى فَافْتَتَحَ بِسُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ . فَأَقْبَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى مُعَاذٍ فَقَالَ " يَا مُعَاذُ أَفَتَّانٌ أَنْتَ اقْرَأْ بِكَذَا وَاقْرَأْ بِكَذَا " . قَالَ سُفْيَانُ فَقُلْتُ لِعَمْرٍو إِنَّ أَبَا الزُّبَيْرِ حَدَّثَنَا عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ " اقْرَأْ وَالشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا . وَالضُّحَى . وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَى . وَسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى " . فَقَالَ عَمْرٌو نَحْوَ هَذَا .
انگریزی ترجمہ
Muhammad ibn Abbad narrated to me, Sufyan narrated to us from Amr, who narrated from Hadrat Jabir (may Allah be well pleased with him), who said: Hadrat Mu'adh (may Allah be well pleased with him) used to pray with the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), then he would come and lead his people in prayer. One night he prayed the Isha prayer with the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), then came to his people and led them, beginning with Surah al-Baqarah. A man turned aside, gave the salutation, then prayed alone and departed. The people said to him: Have you become a hypocrite, O so-and-so? He said: By Allah, no! I shall certainly go to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and inform him. So he came to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and submitted: O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), we are owners of camels used for watering, we work by day, and Hadrat Mu'adh (may Allah be well pleased with him) prayed the Isha with you, then came and began with Surah al-Baqarah. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) turned to Hadrat Mu'adh (may Allah be well pleased with him) and said: 'O Hadrat Mu'adh, are you putting the people to trial? Recite such-and-such and recite such-and-such (a surah).' Sufyan said: I said to Amr: Abu Hadrat al-Zubayr narrated to us from Hadrat Jabir that he (the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: 'Recite By the sun and its morning brightness [91], By the morning brightness [93], By the night when it envelopes [92], and Glorify the name of thy Most High Lord [87].' Amr said: Something to this effect.
اردو ترجمہ
مجھے محمد بن عباد نے حدیث بیان کی، کہا ہمیں سفیان نے عمرو سے حدیث بیان کی، انہوں نے حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی، انہوں نے فرمایا: حضرت معاذ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ نماز پڑھا کرتے تھے، پھر آ کر اپنی قوم کی (مسجد میں) امامت کراتے۔ ایک رات انہوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ عشاء کی نماز پڑھی، پھر اپنی قوم کے پاس آئے اور ان کی امامت کراتے ہوئے سورۃ البقرہ شروع کر دی۔ ایک شخص الگ ہو گیا، سلام پھیرا، پھر اکیلے نماز پڑھی اور چلا گیا۔ لوگوں نے اس سے کہا: اے فلاں! کیا تو منافق ہو گیا ہے؟ اس نے کہا: اللہ کی قسم! نہیں، میں ضرور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی بارگاہ میں حاضر ہو کر آپ کو بتاؤں گا۔ چنانچہ وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور عرض کی: یا رسول اللہ! ہم ان اونٹوں والے ہیں جو پانی ڈھوتے ہیں، دن بھر محنت کرتے ہیں، اور حضرت معاذ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے آپ کے ساتھ عشاء کی نماز پڑھی، پھر آ کر سورۃ البقرہ شروع کر دی۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے (یہ سن کر) حضرت معاذ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کی طرف رخ فرمایا اور ارشاد فرمایا: ''اے حضرت معاذ! کیا تم لوگوں کو فتنے میں ڈالنے والے ہو؟ فلاں سورت پڑھا کرو اور فلاں سورت پڑھا کرو۔'' سفیان نے کہا: میں نے عمرو سے کہا: ابو حضرت زبیر نے ہمیں حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے بیان کیا کہ آپ نے فرمایا: ﴿وَالشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا﴾، ﴿وَالضُّحَىٰ﴾، ﴿وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ﴾ اور ﴿سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى﴾ پڑھا کرو۔ عمرو نے کہا: اسی جیسی (سورتیں پڑھا کرو)۔
