وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ ب (اللَّيْل إِذا يغشى) وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ بِ (سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى) وَفِي الْعَصْرِ نَحْوَ ذَلِكَ وَفِي الصُّبْحِ أَطْوَلَ من ذَلِك. رَوَاهُ مُسلم
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hadrat Jabir b. Samura said that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to recite at the noon prayer, “By the night when it covers over”1 (a version says, “Glorify the name of thy most high Lord”, 2 at the afternoon prayer a similar amount, and at the Morning Prayer a longer passage than that. 1. اردو ترجمہ
حضرت جابر بن سمرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ظہر میں 'واللیل اذا یغشیٰ' پڑھتے تھے — ایک روایت میں ہے: 'سبح اسم ربک الاعلیٰ' — اور عصر میں بھی اسی طرح اور ہر نماز میں اسی طرح، سوائے فجر کے کہ اسے ذرا لمبا کرتے تھے۔ (مسلم)
