انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) would recite Surah al-Fatihah and two other surahs in the first two rak'ahs of Dhuhr prayer, and in the last two rak'ahs he would recite only Umm al-Kitab (i.e., Surah al-Fatihah). Sometimes he would let a verse be heard by them. He would lengthen the first rak'ah more than the second. He would do the same in Asr prayer and Fajr prayer.
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمظہر کی پہلی دو رکعتوں میں سورۃ الفاتحہ اور دو سورتیں اور پڑھتے تھے اور پچھلی دونوں رکعتوں میں (صرف) ام الکتاب (یعنی سورۃ الفاتحہ) پڑھتے تھے اور ہم کو کوئی آیت (کبھی کبھی) سنا دیتے تھے اور پہلی رکعت میں اس قدر طول دیتے تھے کہ دوسری رکعت میں نہ دیتے تھے اور اسی طرح عصر میں اور اسی طرح فجر میں بھی۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 447]
