انگریزی ترجمہ
Narrated Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them): Once I spent the night at the house of Maimunah, the Mother of the Believers (may Allah be pleased with her). And he mentioned the entire hadith which has already passed (see the Book of Wudu... Chapter: Reciting the Qur'an after breaking wudu (without performing wudu)). In this hadith he adds that among the words of the supplication the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to recite were these: "O Allah! Place light in my heart, light in my eyes, light in my ears, light on my right, light on my left, light above me, light below me, and grant me light upon light (i.e., place light on every side of me)."
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا کہایک دفعہ میں رات کو ام المؤمنین میمونہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے گھر رہ گیا اور پوری حدیث ذکر کی جو کہ پہلے گزر چکی ہے (دیکھیئے کتاب: وضو کا بیان۔۔۔ باب: وضو ٹوٹنے کے بعد (بغیر وضو کیے) قرآن کی تلاوت کرنا) اور اس حدیث میں مزید کہتے ہیں کہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمجو دعا پڑھتے تھے اس میں یہ الفاظ ہوتے تھے:”اے اللہ! میرے دل میں روشنی کر دے، میری آنکھ میں روشنی کر دے، میرے کان میں روشنی کر دے، میری داہنی طرف روشنی، میری بائیں طرف روشنی، میرے اوپر روشنی، میرے نیچے روشنی اور میرے لیے روشنی ہی روشنی فرما دے (یعنی ہر طرف روشنی فرما دے)۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 2075]
