انگریزی ترجمہ
It is narrated from Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to the man and woman engaged in li'an (mutual imprecation), "Allah the Exalted will take account of you both. Surely one of you is a liar; there must be separation between you." The husband said, "What about my wealth (given as dowry)?" He (peace be upon him) said, "If you are truthful, still you have had intercourse with her, and that wealth is gone in exchange for it; and if you have falsely accused her (of adultery), then it is even further from you."
اردو ترجمہ
سیدنا عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے لعان کرنے والے مرد اور عورت سے فرمایا:”اللہ تعالیٰ تم دونوں سے حساب لینے والا ہے۔ ایک تو تم میں سے ضرور جھوٹا ہے، تم میں مفارقت ہونی چاہیے۔“شوہر نے کہا کہ میرا مال (کہاں گیا)؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”اگر تو سچا ہے تب بھی تم نے اس سے دخول تو کیا ہے، اس کے بدلے میں وہ مال گیا اور اگر تو نے (زنا کی) عورت پر جھوٹی تہمت لگائی ہے تو پھر تو تجھے واقعی نہ ملنا چاہیے۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1882]
