Hadrat Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that when the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) had finished the battle of Hunain, he sent Hadrat Abu Amir (may Allah be well pleased with him) at the head of an army to Awtas. He encountered Duraid bin As-Simma; Duraid was killed and Allah defeated his companions. Hadrat Abu Musa (may Allah be well pleased with him) stated that the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) sent me with Abu Amir. Abu Amir (may Allah be well pleased with him) was shot in the knee with an arrow which a man from the Jushm tribe had fired. I went to him and submitted, 'O Uncle! Who shot you?' He pointed towards his killer and said, 'That is my killer who shot me.' I rushed towards that man, and when he saw me he fled. I pursued him saying, 'Are you not ashamed? Will you not stop?' He stopped, and we exchanged sword blows and I killed him. Then I returned to Abu Amir (may Allah be well pleased with him) and submitted, 'Allah has caused your killer to be slain.' He said, 'Pull out this arrow.' I pulled it out and water gushed from the wound. He said, 'O nephew! Convey my greetings to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and ask him to pray for my forgiveness.' Abu Amir (may Allah be well pleased with him) appointed Hadrat Abu Musa (may Allah be well pleased with him) as commander over the people and passed away shortly after. When Hadrat Abu Musa (may Allah be well pleased with him) came to the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and narrated the whole account, the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) called for water, performed ablution, then raised his blessed hands and prayed, 'O Allah! Forgive Ubaid Abu Amir.' He raised his hands so high that the whiteness of his armpits became visible, and declared, 'O Allah! On the Day of Resurrection, grant him superiority over many of Your creation.' Hadrat Abu Musa (may Allah be well pleased with him) submitted, 'Pray for me too.' The Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) prayed, 'O Allah! Forgive the sins of Abdullah bin Qais and admit him to a place of honor on the Day of Resurrection.'
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت ابوموسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم غزوہ حنین سے فارغ ہوئے تو آپ نے حضرت ابوعامر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو ایک لشکر کا امیر بنا کر وادی اوطاس کی طرف بھیجا۔ وہاں درید بن الصمہ سے مقابلہ ہوا، درید قتل ہوا اور اللہ تعالیٰ نے اس کے ساتھیوں کو شکست دے دی۔ حضرت ابوموسیٰ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ مجھے بھی حضرت ابوعامر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے ساتھ بھیجا گیا تھا۔ حضرت ابوعامر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے گھٹنے میں تیر لگا جو قبیلہ جشم کے ایک آدمی نے مارا تھا۔ میں ان کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور عرض کیا: چچا جان! آپ کو کس نے تیر مارا؟ انہوں نے اس شخص کی طرف اشارہ کیا اور فرمایا: وہ شخص ہے جس نے مجھے مار کر شہید کیا ہے۔ میں اس کی طرف لپکا اور جب وہ مجھے دیکھ کر بھاگا تو میں اس کا پیچھا کرتے ہوئے فرمانے لگا: کیا تجھے شرم نہیں آتی؟ کیا تو رکے گا نہیں؟ وہ رک گیا تو ہم میں تلواروں کے وار ہوئے اور میں نے اسے قتل کر دیا۔ پھر واپس آ کر حضرت ابوعامر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے عرض کیا: اللہ تعالیٰ نے آپ کے قاتل کو قتل کر دیا۔ انہوں نے فرمایا: یہ تیر نکال دو۔ میں نے نکالا تو اس جگہ سے پانی بہنے لگا۔ انہوں نے فرمایا: بھتیجے! رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں میرا سلام عرض کرنا اور فرمانا کہ وہ میری مغفرت کے لیے دعا فرمائیں۔ حضرت ابوعامر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے حضرت ابوموسیٰ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو لوگوں کا امیر بنا کر تھوڑی ہی دیر میں وفات پائی۔ جب حضرت ابوموسیٰ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے اور سارا واقعہ سنایا تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے پانی منگوایا، وضو فرمایا اور پھر ہاتھ اٹھا کر دعا فرمائی: اے اللہ! عبید حضرت ابوعامر کو بخش دے۔ آپ نے اتنے ہاتھ اٹھائے کہ بغلوں کی سفیدی نظر آنے لگی اور فرمایا: اے اللہ! قیامت کے دن اسے اپنی بہت سی مخلوق پر فضیلت عطا فرما۔ حضرت ابوموسیٰ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے عرض کیا: میرے لیے بھی دعا فرمائیں۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے دعا فرمائی: اے اللہ! عبداللہ بن قیس کے گناہ معاف فرما دے اور قیامت کے دن اسے عزت کی جگہ داخل فرما۔
