حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ، قَالَ كُنَّا أَصْحَابَ مُحَمَّدٍ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَتَحَدَّثُ أَنَّ عِدَّةَ أَصْحَابِ بَدْرٍ عَلَى عِدَّةِ أَصْحَابِ طَالُوتَ الَّذِينَ جَاوَزُوا مَعَهُ النَّهَرَ، وَلَمْ يُجَاوِزْ مَعَهُ إِلاَّ مُؤْمِنٌ، بِضْعَةَ عَشَرَ وَثَلاَثَمِائَةٍ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Hadrat Bara' (may Allah be well pleased with him) states, 'We, the Companions of Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to discuss among ourselves that the number of the warriors of Badr was the same as the number of Talut's (upon him be peace) companions who crossed the river with him — slightly above three hundred and ten, and none crossed the river with him except true believers.'
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت براء رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ ہم اصحاب محمد صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم آپس میں گفتگو فرماتے تھے کہ اصحاب بدر کی تعداد بھی اتنی ہی تھی جتنی اصحاب طالوت (علیہ السلام) کی جنہوں نے ان کے ساتھ نہر پار کی تھی، یعنی تین سو دس سے کچھ زیادہ، اور ان کے ساتھ نہر کو صرف مومنین نے ہی پار کیا تھا۔
