حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، أَنَّ أَنَسًا ـ رضى الله عنه ـ حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ لاَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي شَىْءٍ مِنْ دُعَائِهِ، إِلاَّ فِي الاِسْتِسْقَاءِ، فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ. وَقَالَ أَبُو مُوسَى دَعَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ وَرَأَيْتُ بَيَاضَ إِبْطَيْهِ
انگریزی ترجمہ
It is narrated by Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) did not use to raise his hands in his invocations except in the Istisqa (i.e. invoking Allah for the rain) in which he used to raise his hands so high that one could see the whiteness of his armpits. (Note: It may be that Hadrat Anas did not see the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) raising his hands but it has been narrated that the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to raise his hands for invocations other than Istisqa. اردو ترجمہ
ہم سے عبدالاعلی بن حماد نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے یزید بن زریع نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے سعید نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے قتادہ سے، انہوں نے حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم دعا استسقاء کے سوا اور کسی دعا میں ( زیادہ اونچا ) ہاتھ نہیں اٹھاتے تھے۔ اس دعا میں آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اتنا اونچا ہاتھ اٹھاتے کہ بغل مبارک کی سفیدی دکھائی دیتی تھی۔
