حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَحْسَنَ النَّاسِ، وَأَجْوَدَ النَّاسِ، وَأَشْجَعَ النَّاسِ، قَالَ وَقَدْ فَزِعَ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ لَيْلَةً سَمِعُوا صَوْتًا، قَالَ فَتَلَقَّاهُمُ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى فَرَسٍ لأَبِي طَلْحَةَ عُرْىٍ، وَهُوَ مُتَقَلِّدٌ سَيْفَهُ فَقَالَ " لَمْ تُرَاعُوا، لَمْ تُرَاعُوا ". ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " وَجَدْتُهُ بَحْرًا ". يَعْنِي الْفَرَسَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
It is narrated by Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) who states: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was the most handsome, the most generous, and the bravest of all people. He states: One night, the people of Madinah were alarmed by a sound they heard. The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) met them riding a bare-backed horse belonging to Abu Hadrat Talha (may Allah be well pleased with him), with his sword hanging (around his neck), and declared: "Fear not, fear not." Then the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared: "I found it (to be like) a sea" — meaning the horse (i.e., very swift).
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے، فرماتے ہیں: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سب سے حسین، سب سے سخی اور سب سے بہادر تھے۔ فرماتے ہیں: ایک رات اہلِ مدینہ خوفزدہ ہوئے کہ کوئی آواز سنی۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم حضرت ابوطلحہ (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) کے بغیر زین کے گھوڑے پر سوار ان سے ملے، تلوار لٹکائے ہوئے تھے، اور ارشاد فرمایا: "مت ڈرو، مت ڈرو۔" پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "میں نے اسے سمندر پایا" — یعنی اس گھوڑے کو (بہت تیز)۔
