حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ ثَمَرِ التَّمْرِ حَتَّى تَزْهُوَ. فَقُلْنَا لأَنَسٍ مَا زَهْوُهَا قَالَ تَحْمَرُّ وَتَصْفَرُّ، أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ مَنَعَ اللَّهُ الثَّمَرَةَ بِمَ تَسْتَحِلُّ مَالَ أَخِيكَ
انگریزی ترجمہ
It is narrated from Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) forbade the sale of the fruit of date palms until they reached Zahu (ripeness). We asked Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him): What is Zahu? He replied: When they turn red and yellow (i.e., become ripe). (Then the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), blessings and peace of Allah be upon him, declared:) Consider this -- if Allah were to withhold the fruit (destroy it through some calamity), then on what grounds would you take your brother's wealth as lawful?
اردو ترجمہ
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے کھجور کے درخت کے پھل کو زَہو (پکنے) سے پہلے بیچنے سے منع فرمایا۔ ہم نے حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے پوچھا: زَہو کیا ہے؟ فرمایا: سرخ اور زرد ہو جانا (یعنی پختہ ہونا)۔ (پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا:) ذرا بتاؤ، اگر اللہ تعالیٰ پھل کو روک لے (آفت سے تباہ کر دے) تو تم کس حق سے اپنے بھائی کا مال حلال سمجھو گے؟
