حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي كَرِيمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُلَاثَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنِّي لَأَسْمَعُ بُكَاءَ الصَّبِيِّ فَأُخَفِّفُ الصَّلَاةَ كَرَاهِيَةَ أَنْ تُفْتَتَنَ أُمُّهُ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ قَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَنَسٍ بِأَسَانِيدَ أَحْسَنَ مِنْ هَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَكِنْ ذَكَرْنَاهُ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ لِعِزَّةِ حَدِيثِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَا نَعْلَمُ يُرْوَى عَنْ عُثْمَانَ هَذَا الْكَلَامُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ لَيِّنُ الْحَدِيثِ وَالْبَاقُونَ مَشَاهِيرُ
انگریزی ترجمہ
Muhammad ibn Ishaq al-Baghdadi narrated to us, he said: Ibn Abi Karimah informed us, he said: Muhammad ibn Salamah informed us, he said: Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn 'Ulathah informed us, from Hisham ibn Hassan, from al-Hasan, from 'Uthman ibn Abi al-'As (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Indeed, I hear the crying of a child, so I shorten the prayer out of dislike that his mother should be distressed.' This hadith has been narrated from Abu Hurayrah and Anas with better chains than this chain, but we mentioned it from 'Uthman because of the rarity of 'Uthman's hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). We do not know this statement to be narrated from 'Uthman except through this route, and Muhammad ibn Abdullah is weak in hadith while the rest are well-known.
