أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ عَنِ امْرَأَتِهِ عَنْ أُخْتِ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَتْ خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا مَعْشَرَ النِّسَاءِ أَمَا لَكُنَّ فِي الْفِضَّةِ مَا تَحَلَّيْنَ بِهِ أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْكُنَّ امْرَأَةٌ تُحَلَّى ذَهَبًا تُظْهِرُهُ إِلَّا عُذِّبَتْ بِهِ

Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz and Abu Sa'id ibn Abi Amr narrated to us: Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us: Harun ibn Sulayman al-Asbahani narrated to us: Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated from Sufyan, from Mansur, from Rib'i, from his wife, from the sister of Hudhayfa who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) addressed us and said: 'O women, do you not have silver to adorn yourselves with? Indeed, no woman among you who adorns herself with gold and displays it will be except that she will be punished with it.'
