Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, al-Hasan ibn Halim al-Marwazi informed us, Abu al-Muwajjah informed us, Abdan informed us, Abdullah informed us, Abd al-Rahman al-Mas'udi informed us, Abu Sinan informed me from Ubaydullah ibn Abi Rafi' from Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) that he was asked about the saying of Allah the Exalted: 'Those who are humble in their prayers' [al-Mu'minun 2]. He said: Humility is in the heart, and that you soften your shoulder for the Muslim, and that you do not turn about in your prayer.
