وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أنا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ ثنا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ قَالَ كَانَتْ وَصِيَّةُ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ذِكْرُ مَا أَوْصَى بِهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ بَنِيهِ وَبَنِي أَهْلِهِ أَنْ يَتَّقُوا اللهَ وَيُصْلِحُوا ذَاتَ بَيْنِهِمْ وَأَنْ يُطِيعُوا اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ إِنْ كَانُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ وَأَوْصَاهُمْ بِمَا وَصَّى بِهِ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بَنِيهِ وَيَعْقُوبُ {يَا بَنِيَّ إِنَّ اللهَ اصْطَفَى لَكُمُ الدِّينَ فَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ} [البقرة 132] وَأَوْصَاهُمْ أَنْ لَا يَدَعُوا أَنْ يَكُونُوا إِخْوَانَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَمَوَالِيَهُمْ؛ فَإِنَّ الْعَفَافَ وَالصِّدْقَ أَتْقَى وَأَكْرَمُ مِنَ الزِّنَا وَالْكَذِبِ وَأَوْصَاهُمْ فِيمَا تَرَكَ إِنْ حَدَثَ بِي حَدَثٌ قَبْلَ أَنْ أُغَيِّرَ وَصِيَّتِي
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ibn Awn said: The bequest of Ibn Sirin was: 'Mention of what Muhammad ibn Abi 'Amrah has bequeathed to his sons and the sons of his family - that they fear Allah and reconcile among themselves, and that they obey Allah and His Messenger if they are believers. He enjoins them with what Ibrahim enjoined his sons and Ya'qub: O my sons, indeed Allah has chosen for you this religion, so do not die except as Muslims [Al-Baqarah 132]. He enjoins them not to cease being brothers of the Ansar and their freed slaves, for chastity and truthfulness are more pious and honorable than fornication and lying. He enjoins them regarding what he has left: if death befalls me before I change my bequest.'
