أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ثنا أَنَسُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ قَالَ لَا يَتَوَارَثْ أَهْلُ مِلَّتَيْنِ شَتَّى وَلَا يَحْجُبُ مَنْ لَا يَرِثُ

Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us: Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us: Yahya ibn Abi Talib narrated to us: Yazid ibn Harun informed us: Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us: Anas ibn Sirin reported that Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: People of two different religions do not inherit from each other, and one who does not inherit does not block inheritance.
