حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ذَكْوَانُ أَبُو صَالِحٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي مَا تَخَلَّفْتُ عَنْ سَرِيَّةٍ تَخْرُجُ وَلَكِنْ لَا يَجِدُونَ حَمُولَةً وَلَا أَجِدُ مَا أَحْمِلُهُمْ وَيَشُقُّ عَلَيْهِمْ أَنْ يَتَخَلَّفُوا عَنِّي وَلَوَدِدْتُ أَنِّي قَاتَلْتُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَقُتِلْتُ ثُمَّ أُحْيِيتُ ثُمَّ قُتِلْتُ ثُمَّ أُحْيِيتُ ثُمَّ قُتِلْتُ ثُمَّ أُحْيِيتُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Yahya — meaning Ibn Sa'id — who said: Dhakwan Abu Salih narrated to me, who said: I heard Abu Hurayrah say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Were it not that it would be hard on my nation, I would not have stayed behind from any expedition that goes out. But they cannot find mounts, nor can I find [enough] to carry them, and it would be hard on them to stay behind from me [while I go]. I would love to fight in the cause of Allah and be killed, then be brought back to life, then be killed again, then be brought back to life, then be killed again, then be brought back to life.'
