He said: Abd al-Malik ibn Amr told us: Qurra told us, from al-Hasan, who said: By Allah, they claimed that Abdullah ibn Amr testified concerning it, on the authority of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: "If someone drinks wine, flog him; then if he drinks again, flog him; then if he drinks again, flog him; then when it is the fourth time, strike his neck." He said: Abdullah ibn Amr used to say, "Bring me a man who has been flogged for wine four times, for you have upon me [the duty] that I strike his neck."
