حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَصْبُغُ ثِيَابَهُ وَيَدَّهِنُ بِالزَّعْفَرَانِ فَقِيلَ لَهُ لِمَ تَصْبُغُ هَذَا بِالزَّعْفَرَانِ قَالَ لِأَنِّي رَأَيْتُهُ أَحَبَّ الْأَصْبَاغِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدَّهِنُ وَيَصْبُغُ بِهِ ثِيَابَهُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ishaq ibn Isa told us, Abdullah ibn Zayd told me, my father told me, from Ibn Umar, that he used to dye his clothes and anoint himself with saffron. It was said to him: "Why do you dye this with saffron?" He said: "Because I saw it was the dye most beloved to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him; he would anoint himself with it and dye his clothes with it."
