حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ مَاتَ عَلَى غَيْرِ طَاعَةِ اللَّهِ مَاتَ وَلَا حُجَّةَ لَهُ وَمَنْ مَاتَ وَقَدْ نَزَعَ يَدَهُ مِنْ بَيْعَةٍ كَانَتْ مِيتَتُهُ مِيتَةَ ضَلَالَةٍ.

Ishaq b. Isa told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told us, from Bukayr, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "Whoever dies without obedience to Allah dies with no argument in his favor, and whoever dies having withdrawn his hand from an oath of allegiance, his death is a death of ignorance."
