حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْهَادِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ أَبَرُّ الْبِرِّ صِلَةُ الْمَرْءِ أَهْلَ وُدِّ أَبِيهِ بَعْدَ إِذْ يُوَلِّي.

Ishaq b. Isa told us, Layth told us, Yazid b. Abdullah b. al-Had told me, from Abdullah b. Dinar, from Abdullah b. Umar, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "The most dutiful act of devotion is for a man to maintain ties with the friends of his father after he has passed away."
