حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ أَنَّ أَبَا الْمَلِيحِ قَالَ لِأَبِي قِلَابَةَ دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَأَبُوكَ عَلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ فَحَدَّثَنَا أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَلْقَى لَهُ وَسَادَةً مِنْ أَدَمٍ حَشْوُهَا لِيفٌ وَلَمْ أَقْعُدْ عَلَيْهَا بَقِيَتْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ.

'Abd al-Samad told us: Hammad told us: Khalid al-Hadhdha' told us, that Abu al-Malih said to Abu Qilabah: I and your father entered upon Ibn 'Umar, and he told us that he entered upon the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, who threw down for him a cushion of leather stuffed with palm fiber, but I did not sit upon it; it remained between him and me.
