حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ قَالَ قَدْ زَعَمُوا ذَلِكَ.

Affan told us, Sulayman - meaning Ibn al-Mughirah - told us, from Thabit, who said: I said to Ibn Umar: "Did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbid nabidh [steeped drink] made in earthenware jars?" He said: "They have claimed that."
