Abdullah ibn Idris narrated to us, from Abd al-Malik — that is, ibn Abi Sulayman — from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn Umar: He would pray in whatever direction his mount turned, and I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, do that, interpreting it according to the verse: {wherever you are, turn your faces (towards it)}.
