حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ يُصَلِّي حَيْثُمَا تَوَجَّهَتْ بِهِ رَاحِلَتُهُ وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ وَيَتَأَوَّلُ عَلَيْهِ { وَحَيْثُ مَا كُنْتُمْ فَوَلُّوا وُجُوهَكُمْ }.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abdullah ibn Idris narrated to us, from Abd al-Malik — that is, ibn Abi Sulayman — from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn Umar: He would pray in whatever direction his mount turned, and I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, do that, interpreting it according to the verse: {wherever you are, turn your faces (towards it)}.
