Sufyan narrated to us: 'Amr - meaning Ibn Dinar - said: They mentioned the man who enters ihram for 'umrah and then exits ihram - is it permissible for him to approach his wife before going between al-Safa and al-Marwa? So we asked Jabir ibn 'Abdullah, and he said: "No, not until he goes between al-Safa and al-Marwa." And we asked Ibn 'Umar, and he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, arrived and circled the House seven times, then prayed two rak'ahs behind the Station, and went between al-Safa and al-Marwa, then said: "Indeed in the Messenger of Allah you have a good example."
