حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ أَبُو لَيْلَى عَنْ أَبِي عُكَّاشَةَ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رِفَاعَةُ الْبَجَلِيُّ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى الْمُخْتَارِ بْنِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ قَصْرَهُ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ مَا قَامَ جِبْرِيلُ إِلَّا مِنْ عِنْدِي قَبْلُ قَالَ فَهَمَمْتُ أَنْ أَضْرِبَ عُنُقَهُ فَذَكَرْتُ حَدِيثًا حَدَّثَنَاهُ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ صُرَدٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ إِذَا أَمَّنَكَ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى دَمِهِ فَلَا تَقْتُلْهُ قَالَ وَكَانَ قَدْ أَمَّنَنِي عَلَى دَمِهِ فَكَرِهْتُ دَمَهُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Yunus ibn Muhammad told us, he said: Abdullah ibn Maysarah Abu Layla told us, from Abu Ukkashah al-Hamdani, he said: Rifa'ah al-Bajali said: I entered upon al-Mukhtar ibn Abi Ubayd in his palace, and I heard him saying: "Gabriel has only just risen from being with me." He said: I intended to strike his neck, but then I remembered a hadith that Sulayman ibn Surad had narrated to us from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: "If a man grants you safety over his blood, do not kill him." He said: And he had granted me safety over his blood, so I disliked shedding his blood.
