حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتِ اسْتَأْذَنَّا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْجِهَادِ فَقَالَ حَسْبُكُنَّ الْحَجُّ أَوْ جِهَادُكُنَّ الْحَجُّ.

Abu Ahmad told us, Sufyan told us, from Muawiyah ibn Ishaq, from Aishah bint Talhah, from Aishah, who said: "We asked the Prophet's, peace and blessings be upon him, permission for jihad, and he said: 'Sufficient for you is the Hajj,' or 'your jihad is the Hajj.'"
