حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ أَخَذَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ابْنَةً لَهُ تَقْضِي فَاحْتَضَنَهَا فَوَضَعَهَا بَيْنَ ثَدْيَيْهِ فَمَاتَتْ وَهِيَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَصَاحَتْ أُمُّ أَيْمَنَ فَقِيلَ أَتَبْكِي عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ أَلَسْتُ أَرَاكَ تَبْكِي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ لَسْتُ أَبْكِي إِنَّمَا هِيَ رَحْمَةٌ إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ بِكُلِّ خَيْرٍ عَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ إِنَّ نَفْسَهُ تَخْرُجُ مِنْ بَيْنِ جَنْبَيْهِ وَهُوَ يَحْمَدُ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
The Prophet (peace be upon him) took his dying daughter and held her against his chest, and she died in front of him. Umm Ayman cried out, and it was said to her: 'Are you crying in the presence of the Messenger of Allah?' She said: 'Do I not see you crying, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'I am not crying (out of impatience); rather, it is mercy. Indeed, the believer is in a good state in every condition — even as his soul departs from his body, he praises Allah the Almighty.'
