Qutaybah bin Sa'id told us, saying Bakr bin Mudar told us, from Ibn al-Had, that Ziyad bin Abi Ziyad, the freedman of Ibn Ayyash, told him, from Irak bin Malik, who said: I heard him narrating to Umar bin Abd al-Aziz, from Aisha, that she said: A poor woman came to me carrying two daughters of hers, so I fed her three dates. She gave each of her two daughters one date, and raised a date to her own mouth to eat it, but her two daughters asked her for food, so she split the date she had intended to eat between the two of them. She said: Her conduct amazed me, so I mentioned what she had done to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said: Indeed Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has made Paradise obligatory for her because of it, and has freed her by it from the Fire.
