Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr told us: Umar ibn Suwayd told us: I heard A'isha bint Talha mention — when it was mentioned in her presence that a person in ihram perfumes himself — she related, from A'isha, Mother of the Believers, that they used to go out with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, wearing a fragrant ointment which they had applied before entering ihram; then they would perform ghusl while it was still on them, sweating and washing, and he did not forbid them from it.
