حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُلَيَّةَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أُمِّهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَخَذَ أَهْلَهُ الْوَعْكُ أَمَرَ بِالْحَسَاءِ فَصُنِعَ ثُمَّ أَمَرَهُمْ فَحَسَوْا مِنْهُ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ إِنَّهُ يَعْنِي لَيَرْتُو فُؤَادَ الْحَزِينِ وَيَسْرُو عَنْ فُؤَادِ السَّقِيمِ كَمَا تَسْرُو إِحْدَاكُنَّ الْوَسَخَ بِالْمَاءِ عَنْ وَجْهِهَا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Isma'il — that is, Ibn Ulayyah — told us: Muhammad b. al-Sa'ib told us, from his mother, from Aishah, who said: When illness struck the Messenger of Allah's (peace and blessings be upon him) family, he would order that broth be made, and it would be prepared, then he would command them and they would sip from it; then he would say, "Indeed it soothes the heart of the grieving and eases the heart of the ill, just as one of you wipes away dirt from her face with water."
