Ishaq bin Ibrahim at-Talqani narrated to us: al-Walid bin Muslim narrated to us, from al-Awza'i, from Isma'il bin Ubaydullah, from Fadalah bin Ubayd, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: Allah listens more attentively to a man with a beautiful voice reciting the Qur'an than the owner of a singing slave-girl listens to his singing girl.
