حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَتِيكٍ عَنْ عَتِيكِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَتِيكٍ فَهُوَ جَدُّ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَبُو أُمِّهِ أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَتِيكٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ لَمَّا مَاتَ قَالَتْ ابْنَتُهُ وَاللَّهِ إِنْ كُنْتُ لَأَرْجُو أَنْ تَكُونَ شَهِيدًا أَمَا إِنَّكَ كُنْتَ قَدْ قَضَيْتَ جِهَازَكَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَوْقَعَ أَجْرَهُ عَلَى قَدْرِ نِيَّتِهِ وَمَا تَعُدُّونَ الشَّهَادَةَ قَالُوا قَتْلٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الشَّهَادَةُ سَبْعٌ سِوَى الْقَتْلِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ الْمَطْعُونُ شَهِيدٌ وَالْغَرِقُ شَهِيدٌ وَصَاحِبُ ذَاتِ الْجَنْبِ شَهِيدٌ وَالْمَبْطُونُ شَهِيدٌ وَصَاحِبُ الْحَرْقِ شَهِيدٌ وَالَّذِي يَمُوتُ تَحْتَ الْهَدْمِ شَهِيدٌ وَالْمَرْأَةُ تَمُوتُ بِجُمْعٍ شَهِيدَةٌ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Rawh told us: Malik told us, from Abdullah ibn Abdullah ibn Jabir ibn Atik, from Atik ibn al-Harith ibn Atik -- who was the grandfather of Abdullah ibn Abdullah, the father of his mother -- that he informed him that Jabir ibn Atik informed him that when Abdullah ibn Thabit died, his daughter said: "By Allah, I had hoped you would be a martyr, seeing that you had completed your preparations." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah has indeed granted his reward according to his intention. And what do you consider martyrdom to be?" They said: "Being killed in the way of Allah." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Martyrdom, apart from being killed in the way of Allah, is of seven kinds: one who dies of plague is a martyr; one who drowns is a martyr; one who dies of pleurisy is a martyr; one who dies of an abdominal ailment is a martyr; one who dies by burning is a martyr; one who dies under a collapsed structure is a martyr; and a woman who dies in childbirth is a martyr."
