حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى أَخْبَرَنِي مَالِكٌ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي ضَمْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَنْ الْعَقِيقَةِ فَقَالَ لَا أُحِبُّ الْعُقُوقَ كَأَنَّهُ كَرِهَ الِاسْمَ وَقَالَ مَنْ وُلِدَ لَهُ فَأَحَبَّ أَنْ يَنْسُكَ عَنْ وَلَدِهِ فَلْيَفْعَلْ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ishaq ibn Isa told us: Malik informed me, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from a man of Banu Damra, from his father, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about the aqiqa (birth sacrifice), and he said: I do not like the word 'uquq' (disobedience/severing ties) - as if he disliked the name - and he said: Whoever has a child born to him and wishes to offer a sacrifice for his child, let him do so.
