حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّوْشَجَانِ وَهُوَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ السُّوَيْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَسْوَأُ النَّاسِ سَرِقَةً الَّذِي يَسْرِقُ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَكَيْفَ يَسْرِقُ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ قَالَ لَا يُتِمُّ رُكُوعَهَا وَلَا سُجُودَهَا أَوْ قَالَ لَا يُقِيمُ صُلْبَهُ فِي الرُّكُوعِ وَالسُّجُودِ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَهُ.

Muhammad ibn al-Nawshajan - who is Abu Ja'far al-Suwaydi - narrated to us, al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, from al-Awza'i, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from 'Abdullah ibn Abi Qatadah, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The worst of people in terms of theft is the one who steals from his prayer." They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, how does one steal from his prayer?' He said: "He does not complete its bowing and prostration" - or he said: "He does not straighten his back in bowing and prostration." Al-Hakam ibn Musa narrated to us, al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, from al-Awza'i, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from 'Abdullah ibn Abi Qatadah, from his father, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), a similar narration.
