حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ وَهُوَ أَبُو إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمُعَقِّبُ حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْفَزَارِيَّ حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ الْأَسَدِيُّ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بِشْرٍ الْخُزَاعِيِّ عَنْ خَالِهِ مَالِكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ غَزَوْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ أُصَلِّ خَلْفَ إِمَامٍ كَانَ أَوْجَزَ مِنْهُ صَلَاةً فِي تَمَامِ الرُّكُوعِ وَالسُّجُودِ.

Isma'il ibn Muhammad — who is Abu Ibrahim al-Mu'aqqib — told us, Marwan — namely ibn Mu'awiyah al-Fazari — told us, Mansur ibn Hayyan al-Asadi told us, from Sulayman ibn Bishr al-Khuza'i, from his maternal uncle Malik ibn Abdullah, who said: I went on campaign with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and I never prayed behind an imam who was briefer in prayer than he while still completing the bowing and prostration fully.
