حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ حَدَّثَنِي الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ عَن أَبِي النَّضْرِ مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَنْ اللُّقَطَةِ فَقَالَ عَرِّفْهَا سَنَةً فَإِنْ جَاءَ بَاغِيهَا فَأَدِّهَا إِلَيْهِ وَإِلَّا فَاعْرِفْ عِفَاصَهَا وَوِكَاءَهَا ثُمَّ كُلْهَا فَإِنْ جَاءَ بَاغِيهَا فَأَدِّهَا إِلَيْهِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Muhammad ibn Isma'il ibn Abi Fudayk told us: al-Dahhak ibn Uthman told me, from Abu al-Nadr, freedman of Umar ibn Ubaydullah, from Busr ibn Sa'id, from Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about a lost item found. He said: 'Announce it for a year; if its seeker comes, give it to him; otherwise, note its container and its tie, then use it. If its seeker comes later, give it to him.'
